Resources - Interrupt Requests (IRQs)

An interrupt is a message from one part of the computer to another that tells it that it needs to stop what it is doing, and do something else instead. Interrupts play a key role in how the processor   performs.    It   interfaces   with   every 

peripheral in the computer. The table below provides summary information in a typical computer. You may find this table useful when considering how to configure your system or for resolving IRQ conflicts.
