Drives

CD-ROM, DVD, floppy, hard disk drives, SCSI, ATA, IDE and other related questions.

Q: My CD-ROM will not work when I restart in MS-DOS mode.

A: Microsoft Windows uses its own drivers to make the CD-ROM work, so if you "Restart in MS-DOS mode", there won't be any "real mode" CD-ROM drivers loaded.
